Throughout the course of The Timekeeper written by Mitch Albom, we learn many valuable lessons. However, the most important one is why God limits man's days. God limits man's days, so that each one will be more precious. The three main characters learn this throughout the novel. It took Dor six thousand years in solitude and a week on Earth in order to figure this out. Victor wanted more days and Sarah wanted less. Finally, after almost fatal experiences, Victor and Sarah learn that they must take the time they have and make it precious. We also learn that time is not ours to give or take. The entire book leads up to learning that each and every day of our lives is precious.
